Michael Christopher has released a video for his acoustic cover version of the Brooks & Dunn hit “Neon Moon.” Written by Ronnie Dunn and released in February 1992, the song was the third single from their debut album, ‘Brand New Man,’ and became their third consecutive Number One single on the country charts.
While Brooks & Dunn has had countless hits over the years, “Neon Moon” is a favorite of many, including Michael, who credits this song with opening his eyes to the world of country music.
“I was asked to go to a line dance club for the first time and I didn’t know what to expect,” Michael recalls. “Once I heard the melody and story line of ‘Neon Moon’ I was instantly hooked on country music. That song pretty much changed my life.”
This video for “Neon Moon” is part of an acoustic series filmed at the Kresge Theatre on Carnegie Mellon’s campus in Pittsburgh, PA. It features performances of some of Michael’s favorite songs, past and present, across the country music genre and beyond.
